Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands, Inc. in Bryan, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to uphold product quality and process standards across our facility.

You will read drawings, inspect finishes, approve or reject goods, and maintain test records, while working with quality systems and MS Office. Prior Bryan-line experience and reliability are required, with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a quality inspector or in a related position a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with a result-oriented approach.
  • Responsible and reliable.
  • Familiarity with quality testing systems and machines is desired.
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and quality control standards is desired.
  • A quality control certificate is a strong plus (ISO 9000, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • High School Degree/GED Required minimum; Higher qualifications will be valued.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Must have 90 days of production Line experience within the Bryan facility.
  • No disciplinary violations or attendance violations within the last 60 days.
  • Must have a written endorsement from current supervisor.
  • Must pass exam after one week of training.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect finished products to meet minimum customer focused standards for FORM-FIT-FUNCTION & SAFETY
  • Monitor equipment usage to ensure it is safe and properly maintained, as well as discard anything that does not meet requirements
  • Prepare and send reports to the quality manager
