Position Overview

At Aurora Flight Sciences, we design, build, and fly advanced aircraft and enabling technologies from concept to reality. We are searching for a talented and self-motivated Quality Inspector to help us create the future of flight. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Responsibilities

  • Under supervision, perform day-to-day 2D and receiving inspection duties by performing Quality Inspection tasks to determine, detail parts, subassemblies, assemblies/deliverables and purchased raw materials/hardware/parts meet purchase order and customer requirements.
  • Candidate must have good attention to detail, as well as organization and communication skills; must be able to function as a Team Member and support team goals and objectives.
  • Must maintain a neat, organized work area and practice good housekeeping.
  • Must adhere to all safety and department procedures, practices, and directives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent

combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
  • Ability to perform basic math computations.
  • General knowledge of hand tools.
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and manufacturing specifications.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be a US person.

Preferred Requirements

  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent

combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using precision measuring equipment.
  • Comfortable with using the current ERP system (SAP).
  • Basic understanding of blueprints, drawings and 3D modeling, such as use of CATIA.
  • Quality and/or aerospace experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear proper PPE.
  • Ability to transport objects up to 35 pounds as well as consistently stoop, crawl, bend, crouch, climb and kneel.
  • Must be able to work all shifts as needed (1st and/or 2nd Shift).
  • Work onsite in Bridgeport, WV.

Salary Range (Annualized USD)

  • Minimum Range: $33,000.00 to $58,000.00
  • Maximum Range: $42,000.00 to $74,000.00
