AMSC is seeking a Quality Inspector in Ayer, MA to lead the inspection of products across production stages. You will read drawings, verify specifications, and document results, ensuring nonconforming material is reported and resolved.

Required are 7+ years in quality, experience with FAIs, NMRs, and ISO control standards, plus strong communication and teamwork skills to support safety and quality initiatives.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 7+ years of quality experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and perform math functions.
• Ability to interpret drawings, wiring and schematics.
• Experience using mechanical/electrical inspection tools.
• Knowledge of AS9102 FAIs and NMRs.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality Management System principles.

Salary Range: $25.00 To $30.00 Annually

Functions:

• Responsible for performing and managing the inspection of products at various stages of the production process in order to verify quality and reliability of products in accordance with required quality plans, drawings, specifications, etc.
• Responsible for completing and reviewing all applicable inspection documentation for completeness and accuracy while maintaining, protecting, and storing all files applicable to inspections.
• Must be able to read and interpret written instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, or other control procedures.
• Must be able to perform visual, dimensional, mechanical, precision mechanical, functional, or electrical inspection of parts, assemblies, or final product in all stages of the production process (i.e. incoming, in-process and final inspection) using standard measuring devices such as micrometers, scales, fixtures, calipers, dial indicators, comparators, fixed gauges, multi meters, component testers, various surface plate set-ups, etc.
• Must be able to initiate nonconforming material (NCM) reports and manage through completion.
• Must be able to review and approve First Article Inspection reports.
• Supports all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
• Has knowledge of standard practices that support ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001 standards.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.

Education - Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 7+ years of quality experience, or its equivalent.

• Required – Knowledge of Nonconforming Material Reports (NMR) and Root Cause / Corrective Actions, and aptitude for reviewing and approving.
• Required - Knowledge of ISO Quality Management System principles
• Required – Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred – Knowledge of Oracle
• Preferred – Knowledge of IPC-610 Standard for Inspection of Electronic Assemblies
