Job summary

The Quality Inspector at rms Company conducts basic dimensional and visual inspections for multiple manufacturing processes using a variety of methods and equipment, and completes quality records per GMP guidelines. The role ensures compliance with ISO and medical device requirements and prepares documentation for audits and continuous improvement.

Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm. You will inspect materials, report non-conformities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet

Qualifications

  • 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with measuring instruments, methods and practices including hand tools and machine devices including CMM and Vision Systems.
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required.
  • Ability to work from customer supplied drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to communicate inspection results with team members.
  • Ability to quickly shift priorities in support of production inspection needs.
  • Manage multiple requirements and deadlines.
  • Mechanical Aptitude and dexterity.

Quality Inspector Position Summary

The Quality Inspector performs basic dimensional and visual inspections for various manufacturing processes using various methods and equipment. This position will also complete appropriate quality records within company and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, policies, and procedures.

Shift

Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Responsibilities
Quality Inspector Responsibilities
  • Inspection of received materials, components, and assemblies relating to quality, appearance and performance
  • Interpret and accurately document the results of the inspections and testing
  • Reporting and isolating/segregation of non-conforming product
  • Use a variety of inspection measurement tools/gages (Micrometer, Caliper, Gage Pins, Indicators, Thread Gages, Profilometer, Optical Comparator, Microscopes)
  • Operate various precision testing equipment including but not limited to Tool Scope, CMM, and Vision systems
  • Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
  • Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
  • Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
  • Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
  • Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly
  • Participate in required company meetings
  • Maintain an organized work area (5S)
  • Participate in the Operational Excellence Program
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA’s and certifications)
  • 2 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with measuring instruments, methods and practices including hand tools and machine devices including CMM and Vision Systems
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
  • Ability to work from customer supplied drawings and specifications
  • Ability to communicate inspection results with team members
  • Ability to quickly shift priorities in support of production inspection needs
  • Manage multiple requirements and deadlines

  • Dexterity and hand and eye coordination
  • Ability to use a microscope and hand tools
  • Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required
Desirable Requirements/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485 standards.
  • Quality training or certifications.

Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and other chemicals in the manufacturing process. Testing is conducted on a periodic basis to ensure that all chemicals are kept well below the OSHA permissible exposure levels.

Pay Range

USD $20.00 - USD $27.84 /Hr.
