Job summary

Linde Advanced Material Technologies Inc. in Manchester, CT, is seeking a quality inspector to perform in-process and final inspections to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards. The role operates on 1st shift, 09:00am - 05:30pm, Monday through Friday.

You will use precision measuring equipment, coordinate calibration programs, investigate nonconformities, review orders, and maintain quality documentation while upholding a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102 First Article Inspection, and AMS 2750 standards.
  • 3–5 years of aviation industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using precision inspection equipment and gauges.
  • Color discernment and ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

  • Maintain accurate quality documentation and product certifications; prepare lab test samples; uphold a safe work environment.

What you will enjoy doing*
  • You will perform in-process and final inspections of parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, drawings and quality standards
  • Further you will conduct inspections using precision measuring equipment and ensure proper operation of measurement devices
  • You will coordinate calibration programs and maintain records for inspection, testing, and verification tools and gauges
  • You will support Engineering and Operations in investigating, documenting and resolving quality nonconformities
  • Moreover you will review customer orders and contracts to verify compliance with specifications, requirements and obligations
  • Lastly you will maintain accurate quality documentation and product certifications, prepare laboratory test samples as required, and uphold a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
What makes you great
  • You have three to five (3–5) years of aviation industry experience preferred, with knowledge of aerospace quality standards and requirements
  • You will have working knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9102 First Article Inspection, and AMS 2750 standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills to evaluate product conformity against established specifications
  • Experienced in the use of precision inspection and measurement equipment, including micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, dial indicators and surface plates
  • Ability to distinguish colors accurately, perform detailed inspection work, lift up to 40 pounds, and sit or stand for extended periods
