Responsibilities
- First point of contact for the warehouse inspection related discussion such as incoming inspection criteria, training, standards, reports, etc.
- Completing PIR (part inspection request) inspection disposition.
- Creating QI (One page rejection report) from the database and communicating to various stakeholders such as material controller, MQE, SQP, etc.
- Completing inspection report using IC (Inspection Control System) for inventory deduction, shipping and chargeback.
- Reviewing system inventory such as number of parts shown in the system vs. actual, rejected vs. shipped, rejected vs. disposition pending, etc.
- Working with the BTL and Inspectors to address the backlog and correct systems such as IC, MACS and NTRP as needed.
- Updating daily dashboard and communicating daily to the LVO inspection BTL.
- Reporting to BTL on a daily basis for the status of open issues and escalating for support.
- Working with BTL and the Quality Specialist if any priority or inspection process change is foreseen.
- Creating new or updating existing SOPs for inspection if needed.
- Using various IT tools such as IC, MACS, GILM, Kola, NTRP, GPS, DB as needed.
- Working with Packaging Engineering for any improvement needed on packaging.
- Blocking, unblocking and flagging inventory as and when needed.
- Maintaining procedures and presenting summary reports on failures, analysis, and corrective actions.
- Liaising with external/internal vendors, contractors or suppliers to ensure their products or services meet the organization’s quality standards and for all containment.
- Developing and implementing quality assurance processes and tools.
- Writing and revising standard operating procedures.
- Supporting and facilitating audits and regulatory inspections.
- Supporting quality training coordination.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of best practice quality tools.
- Strong problem solvers/decision makers, able to take a well‑ordered approach to solving problems and acting despite obstacles, resistance or ambiguity.
- Strong logical thinking and analytical background.
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of quality standards and the manufacturing business.
- Organizational ability to utilize policies, practices, trends, and tactics to accomplish business objectives.
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, manufacturing, product, production standards, and efficiency optimization tools; process-oriented.
- Proven ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements to the assembly operation.
- Possesses strong analytical skills and demonstrated focus on process and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio.
