Job summary

Apex International, the world’s largest Anilox manufacturer, seeks a Quality Inspection technician at its Donora, PA production facility. The role focuses on ensuring products meet Apex standards through incoming and final inspections and by following blueprints.

You will use calipers, tape measures, and other tools; read drawings; coordinate with order support; operate overhead cranes; work 8-hour daylight shift Mon–Fri with possible overtime; benefits include health insurance and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs regularly.
• Must be able to multi-task and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Requires a general understanding and comfort with use of MS Office and Windows OS.
• Must be able to maintain a neat and organized workspace.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspection of used and new products for reconditioning and customer orders.
• Conduct final inspection of outgoing rolls to ensure quality meets Apex standards.
• Communicate with order support on repairs and other required actions.
• Move products through facility using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Read and understand drawings/blueprints of machine parts; training will be provided.
• Measure manufactured parts using tools like tape measures, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges.

Job description

Apex International, the world’s largest Anilox manufacturer, currently has an open position of Quality Inspection within its production facility in Donora, PA. At Apex, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products to our customers every single time. This position is one of the most critical parts of the production process as this is where we confirm that we had produced our product with the highest standard of quality.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

• Incoming inspection of used products sent to us by our customers for reconditioning, as well as
  new products that will be processed to fill customer orders.
• Final Inspection reviews all outgoing rolls before being shipped to the customer. Here we check
  if the processes, which are described by the incoming inspection, were performed correctly so
  that it meets the required Apex quality standards and the customer’s expectations.
• Communicate with order support on eventual repairs and/or other comments and operations
  which need to be carried out on the product.
• Move products through the production facility/warehouse using overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Reading and understanding the drawings/blueprints of machine parts. You will receive training
  on how to accurately perform this task.
• Measure manufactured parts using various tools (tape measures, digital calipers, micrometer,
  bore gauge, etc.)

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs regularly and over 50lbs on occasion.
• Must be able to multi-task and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
• Requires a general understanding and comfort with use of MS Office and Windows OS.
• Must be able to maintain a neat and organized workspace.
