Job summary

Family-Residences-and-Essential-Enterprises,-Inc is seeking a Quality Improvement and Incident Coordinator in Bethpage, NY. The role focuses on incident investigation, quality improvement reviews, and regulatory guidance to strengthen client safety and service quality.

Under supervision of the VP, you will support the FREE network, manage investigation reports, and assist during state surveys and external audits, ensuring compliance and person-centered planning across programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in human services or related field preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in health and human services.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in quality improvement or investigative roles preferred.
• Experience with state/federal regulations and OPWDD/OMH/DOH/other agencies preferred.
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conducts quality improvement reviews/audits on-site at respective programs.
• Assists with processing results from state surveys and reviewing corrective action plans.
• Conducts investigations into incidents and writes investigative reports within regulatory guidelines.
• Ensures individuals receive medical treatment as needed and in accordance with regulations.
• Implements safeguards to prevent future incidents and uphold safety.
• Closes incidents in NIMRS/IRMA and submits corrective action plans.
• Provides onsite support and guidance during state surveys and external audits.
• Ensures safety and needs of individuals are met and advocates as needed.
• Monitors compliance with laws, regulations, and agency policies across programs.
