CGH Medical Center seeks a leader to coordinate organization-wide quality and performance improvement efforts. You will drive initiatives, analyze results for regulatory bodies, and lead teams using RCA, FMEA, and PDSA methods.
The role requires knowledge of healthcare standards, experience with educational programs, and collaboration with medical staff and management to implement best practices.
Coordinates and supervises organization-wide performance improvement activities, ensuring regulatory compliance and dissemination of results. Serves as a liaison for performance improvement and patient safety activities between the medical staff, administration, department managers, facilitators and other employees.
Responsible for the design, management and execution of initiatives to drive organization wide quality and performance improvement. Responsible for collection, submission, analysis and reporting of results to regulatory bodies including but not limited to: TJC, CMS, IPT, and PSO as assigned by the Director. Leads and facilitates quality and patient safety teams utilizing appropriate problem-solving methodologies including but not limited to; root cause analysis (RCA), Failure, Mode, Effects & Analysis (FMEA), Plan Do Study Act (PDSA), and/or Kaizen events. Coordinates participation, team selection and rapid cycle change through external collaborative improvement projects with organizations such as IHI, IHA, and IFQHC. Consult with department managers and medical staff regarding KPI outcomes, opportunities for improvement and recommended best practice. Develops and implements organization-wide educational programs in quality and performance improvement, including new employee orientation. Provides individual or group consultation as requested. Responsible for reporting results, analysis and action planning to designated Medical Staff and Board Committees. Works effectively and professionally as a team member in conjunction with management staff and other department employees.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Care Administration, or other healthcare related field required. Healthcare or previous Quality/Process Improvement experience preferred. Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or ability to sit for CPHQ exam within 2 years of accepting position required. Certification in Patient Safety, IHI Fellowship, or Lean preferred. Significant body of knowledge in performance improvement theory and statistical analysis as well as general body of knowledge in healthcare regulatory standards preferred. Experience utilizing Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and electronic medical record system preferred.
Compensation Range $64,480.00 - $96,720.00
