Job summary

Southeast Health is seeking a Quality Improvement Coordinator to apply nursing expertise in advancing clinical quality and patient safety. You will coordinate data collection, analysis, and reporting to support hospital-wide quality initiatives and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with nursing, ancillary, and medical staff to identify improvement opportunities, develop metrics, and drive projects to measurable outcomes, while adhering to Six Ground Rules and hospital priorities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN).
• Current RN license in Alabama.
• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience required.
• Two to four years in quality improvement activities preferred.
• Ability to create and provide reports synthesizing quality metric performance.

Responsibilities

• Collecting, abstracting, and summarizing data for quality review or external agencies.
• Ensuring data completeness and timely submission to Quality Safety Council and others.
• Performing qualitative and quantitative analyses of data using statistical tools.
• Developing and monitoring quality improvement metrics to identify care opportunities.
• Acting as an Improvement Advisor to project teams and establishing project milestones.
• Reviewing quality improvement reports daily and tracking progress toward goals.
• Coordinating facility-wide responses to improvement activities and communicating with stakeholders.
• Keeping leadership informed of issues, status, barriers, and outcomes.
• Coordinating development of procedures related to quality improvement and patient safety.
• Participating in system-wide quality improvement projects as defined in the plan.
