Job summary

North American Partners in Anesthesia (NAPA) seeks a Quality Nurse in Melville, NY to align clinicians with quality initiatives and support enterprise-wide quality programs. The role includes on-site education for clinicians, site implementations, and coordination of quality audits.

The candidate will monitor quality data, educate staff on PSO activities, and help develop improvement plans with site leaders. Travel ~40-60% regionally; remote work allowed when not traveling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• RN with at least 2 years in hospital perioperative services.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with current quality operations, goals, and initiatives, including collection of established quality measures for internal and external reporting (PSO data or MIPS measures).
• Oversee quality reporting to clinical sites.
• Maintain knowledge of PSO activities and educate staff on PSO processes.
• Monitor clinical quality data and develop action plans to improve reporting and performance.
• Coordinate clinical quality audits, inspections, and follow-up activities.
• Review adverse event entries, educate staff, and monitor follow-up.
• Provide Regulatory compliance education and participate in anesthesia department activities to ensure compliance.
• Assist with implementation of new sites, including education and reporting processes.
• Facilitate monthly Quality Improvement Committee meetings and prepare meetings.
• Provide orientation on QI program and analysis tools to regional Chiefs and staff.
• On-site staff education of quality and data collection when needed.
• Support the NAPA Service Experience Program through data monitoring and clinician education.
