Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field as listed in the job description.
• Three years experience in healthcare, quality management and the application of continuous improvement methodologies, tools, standards and guidelines.
• Experience providing clinical patient care in a hospital setting as a nurse, therapist, technician etc., strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides hospital-wide coordination, leadership and expertise in quality improvement programs.
• Identifies opportunities for performance improvement and involves appropriate personnel.
• Develops, tests and implements techniques for decision support to improve clinical, functional, operational and cost outcomes.
• Coordinates staff support for medical peer reviews and maintains contact with internal and external quality resources.
• Develops strategies to meet Joint Commission and internal standards and provides guidance on quality improvement measures.
• Facilitates development of clinical pathways, orders sets and tools for improving quality of care.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Services Administration, Operations Analysis, Business Administration or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Master's degree preferred.
