Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Manage projects aimed at improving member utilization of preventive health services.
  2. Assist in maintaining State contracted QI standards.
  3. Design and implement QI activities for the health plan.
  4. Support the QI Director in meeting regulatory quality requirements.
  5. Maintain Quality policies and procedures.
  6. Utilize QI tools (e.g., PDSA, RCA, fishbone diagrams, key driver diagrams, run charts, FMEA) to identify opportunities, measure, track, and evaluate performance on QI initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience working on quality improvement initiatives to improve CMS Core Set and HEDIS measures using various QI tools.
  • At least 2 years of project management or quality improvement experience.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and engage in continuous learning.
  • Experience in managed care quality departments within Medicaid/Medicare or similar settings.
  • Skills in improving clinical quality performance measures and developing performance improvement activities.
  • Data utilization skills for developing intervention strategies.
  • Experience reporting on quality outcomes.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including lookup functions, pivot tables, chart design, and trend analysis.
  • Reside in or near Phoenix, Arizona.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).
  • Experience with regulatory reports and deliverables.
  • Problem-solving skills with systematic analysis and action planning.
