The Village Family Services, Inc. in North Hollywood, CA seeks a Quality Compliance and Improvement Specialist to lead audits, monitor regulatory requirements, and strengthen documentation across behavioral health programs.

You will provide training, develop tools, track outcomes, and coordinate with the QA Director to implement corrective actions and support payer and county audits. The role is hybrid with benefits including health insurance and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in behavioral health field required.
• Active ASW/AMFT/APCC or licensed LCSW/LMFT/LPCC.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with LA County DMH documentation and Medi-Cal billing.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Hybrid work schedule with 50% in office; schedule set by QA Director.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive department audits across agency programs to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Medi-Cal, HIPAA, and contractual requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of clinical documentation standards and regulatory updates; implement agency-wide updates.
• Identify documentation deficiencies, compliance risks, and billing discrepancies; ensure timely corrective actions.
• Maintain audit tracking systems and document review outcomes and follow-up actions.
• Prepare and deliver reports on audit results, compliance trends, and quality indicators.
• Provide staff training on documentation standards and County requirements; offer technical assistance.
