Job summary

Mako Industries in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an experienced Manager of Quality & HSE to lead the company’s quality, health, safety and environmental programs and to establish systems that meet regulatory, customer and company standards.

The Manager will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain and report to senior leadership to foster a culture of quality, safety, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality, HSE, EHS, or a related manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading Quality and HSE programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Develop, implement, and improve quality policies, procedures, standards, and processes.
• Ensure products and services meet customer, contractual, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
• Establish and monitor quality objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Manage internal, customer, supplier, and third-party quality audits.
• Lead root-cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Investigate customer complaints, nonconformances, and recurring quality issues.
• Develop and maintain inspection, testing, documentation, and quality-control processes.
• Work with Operations and Engineering to identify opportunities to reduce defects, rework, waste, and process variation.
• Manage supplier quality performance and support supplier qualification and evaluation activities.
• Ensure quality records and documentation are accurate, controlled, and maintained.
