Gates Corporation in Houston seeks a Quality & HSE Manager to lead the Quality Management System (QMS) and Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) efforts for the Houston manufacturing and service operations. The role requires 8+ years in quality leadership and strong API Q1 experience, with preference for API 7K/16C and monogramming familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in engineering, manufacturing, quality, safety, business, or related field.
• 8+ years of quality leadership experience in manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leading people and developing teams.
• Strong working knowledge of API Q1 requirements.
• Oil & gas industry experience preferred.
• Experience with API 7K and API 16C products and monogramming preferred.
• ASQ certifications (CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE, or equivalent) preferred.
• Experience leading external audits and regulatory inspections.

Responsabilités

• Own and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead API, customer, and third-party audits with corrective actions and closure.
• Ensure compliance with API Q1, API Monogram licensing, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor quality KPIs, NCRs, customer complaints, COPQ, supplier quality, and audit findings.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions using structured problem solving.
• Maintain document control, risk assessments, management reviews, internal audits, and supplier qualification.
• Collaborate with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve quality and efficiency.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA and environmental compliance.
• Oversee incident investigations, near-miss reporting, and corrective actions.
• Provide monthly updates on quality, safety, environmental compliance, audits, and continuous improvement.
