Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–3 years manufacturing process experience.
• Inspection experience preferred.
• Significant MBV product knowledge.
• Knowledge in the application of quality inspection methods.
• Basic computer skills; use of MS Office required.
• Ability to work in teams.
• People and persuasion skills.
• Assertiveness in difficult situations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process quality inspections of vans and enter results into computer systems.
• Communicate with production personnel to raise awareness of quality issues and drive resolutions.
• Read and comprehend inspection checklists and locate inspection points.
• Identify, evaluate and rate defects using the Van Benchmark Catalog NQ rating scale.
• Perform inspections within established takt times.
• Input defects into QSYS and FBK; clear defects accordingly.
• Inspect FBKs for conformance to stamping requirements.
• Identify the correct process owner for a defect and communicate with them.
• Verify correction of defects after fixes in-station.
• Determine next process step for vehicles with defects (light tunnel/EOL).
