Job summary

Kent Consumer Brands Americas, LLC in Columbus, MS is seeking a Quality Supervisor to join our team. You’ll partner with the Quality Manager to uphold quality and food safety standards behind our products while ensuring compliance with company requirements and government regulations.

Primary duties include assisting in managing quality department operations, leading audits, implementing quality programs, directing inspectors, and promoting a safety-first culture with OSHA practices and GMPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Food Science or related field.
• Experience working in a similar role.
• Must be willing to work OT, nights and weekends as needed.
• Must be highly motivated and have strong people skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Quality department operations, including laboratory and Quality line functions.
• Support the implementation and ongoing management of BRC and Food Safety programs, serving as an active member of the Food Safety team.
• Perform required BRC audits and support plant GMP audits, ensuring adherence to established quality and food safety standards.
• Lead, implement, and continuously support Quality programs and processes across the operation.
• Direct Quality Inspectors and clearly communicate department goals, expectations, and priorities.
• Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring employees follow all applicable OSHA safety practices, Food Safety Defense Plan, and established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
