Job summary

TruRoots in Chico, California is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the site’s Quality & Food Safety Management System and ensure compliance with FDA regulations, GFSI standards, Organic and Kosher requirements, and customer expectations.

You will provide daily leadership to the Quality team, drive CAPA and investigations, coordinate audits, and act as the technical resource for regulatory compliance across Operations, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, or related scientific discipline.
• Five or more years of progressive Quality Assurance experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
• Three or more years of supervisory or management experience.
• Experience in a GFSI-certified manufacturing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and continuously improve the site's QMS and food safety programs.
• Oversee product release, disposition, CAPA investigations, and risk assessments.
• Coordinate audits, regulatory compliance, and internal quality activities.
• Provide leadership to Quality personnel and support cross-functional teams.
