Job summary

Newly Weds Foods, Bethlehem, PA, seeks a Quality Control Manager to lead quality programs and food safety compliance in the local facility. You will train employees, manage audits, and drive improvements to meet customer expectations.

The role requires HACCP, GMP, and BRC knowledge, with hands-on leadership in lab and production settings and collaboration with Sales, Manufacturing, and R&D to resolve quality issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences or 3-5 years of comparable managerial experience in food manufacturing.
• Requires pest control license/certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Experience leading quality control, R&D, or technical services with HACCP, GMP, NFPA/AIB, and BRC audits.

Responsibilities

• Identify, lead and facilitate broad based product quality & food safety programs and improvements.
• Define, lead and facilitate internal and external audit evaluations in quality and food safety.
• Train factory employees on quality, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Provide QA leadership into product development and process improvements.
• Engage with customer technical personnel to meet business objectives and resolve issues.
• Monitor trends in quality and food safety to keep the site up-to-date.
• Lead crisis management for quality & food safety issues.
• Manage product controls, COA, allergens, rework, and customer complaints.
• Oversee sanitation, pest control, micro-testing, water quality maintenance.
• Lead and conduct preventive controls and audits; participate in supplier/vendor reviews.
