Job summary

Kreider Farms is seeking a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to lead our programs across locations in the US. This role reports to the Director of Food Safety and Quality and collaborates with management and staff to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, extensive QA experience, HACCP certification, and SQF familiarity, with a commitment to audit readiness and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years leadership in Quality Assurance.
• HACCP certification is required.
• SQF experience preferred.
• Strong computer and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs.
• Serve as an SQF Practitioner.
• Maintain HACCP and SQF programs and ensure compliance.
• Prepare for and coordinate food safety and quality audits.
• Investigate and resolve quality and food safety issues.
• Track quality data, records, and corrective actions.
• Partner with processing, production, and management teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Remain current on applicable regulatory requirements and support ongoing compliance efforts.
• Facilitate food safety training and provide ongoing support for staff.
• Travel to various company sites during the workday as required.
• Promote a strong culture of food safety and quality.

About the Position:
