Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or related field is desirable.
• 5+ years of experience in Quality with exposure to major functional areas of Quality and Food Safety is essential.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control is desirable.
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines is desirable.
• Customer interaction is desirable.
• Salaried and hourly management skills are essential.
• Organizational skills are essential.
• Sensory knowledge is desirable.
• Food or pharmaceutical knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and training to the plant in quality, food safety, safety sanitation, and customer service.
• Maintain communication with all departments to align production priorities and avoid impacting customer service.
• Establish and review HACCP programs and conduct audits.
• Monitor plant performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain quality standards, batch sheets, and specification sheets.
• Adhere to customer quality policies and regulatory rules.
• Support SQF 2000 system development and maintenance.
• Create a respectful, productive work environment for all associates.
