Job summary

Vanguard EMS, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to ensure soldering and assemblies meet IPC standards. The role collaborates with the Team Coordinator and supervisor to uphold quality across surface mount and through-hole processes.

You will inspect boards, ensure traceability, report issues, and drive improvements while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and contributing to a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high attention to detail with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and drive improvements in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort using microscope and handling small/fragile components.

Responsibilities

• Inspect boards from hand or machine assembly to meet regulatory requirements.
• Perform WIP transactions to ensure traceability in Vanguard's system.
• Communicate quality issues to team, manager and engineer.
• Stop workflow to prevent defective products from continuing.
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive working environment.
• Maintain benches, tools and equipment in good condition.
• Drive continuous improvement through projects and opportunities.
• Keep a clean and organized work area; perform other duties as assigned.
