In this role, you will:

  1. Lead and support inspection and test plan creation in coordination with engineering.
  2. Provide guidance related to part inspection and test procedures.
  3. Perform inspections (first article, incoming, in-process, outgoing) according to plans and procedures to record, analyze, document, and report results.
  4. Perform tests (qualification, incoming, in-process, end-of-line) according to plans and procedures to record, analyze, document, and report results.
  5. Perform physical inspections using various gauges, tools, and inspection equipment.
  6. Perform dimensional and gage studies (MSA, R&R) in coordination with engineering.
  7. Perform cable and harness assembly testing and troubleshooting.
  8. Perform soldering and wire splicing inspections.
  9. Assemble electromechanical modules.
  10. Manage inventory transactions as needed.
  11. Operate inspection and test fixtures or equipment, training others as required.
  12. Assist in training manufacturing teams and technicians on inspections and tests.
  13. Support activities related to non-conforming products and returned material authorization (Material Review Board).
  14. Participate in layered and manufacturing process audits.
  15. Engage in continuous improvement activities.
  16. Follow safety requirements, policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  17. Follow written, verbal, and visual instructions.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. 3+ years of experience in quality automotive manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, robotics, or related fields.
  3. Attention to detail and careful handling of precision components and equipment.
  4. Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings.
  5. Proficiency with gauges, measuring devices, and equipment.
  6. Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail).
  7. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Associate Degree, Technician Certificate, or similar in engineering, photonics, lasers, or electro-optics.
  2. IPC 610 and IPC 620 certifications.
  3. Experience debugging complex electronic and cable assemblies.
  4. Experience with CNC mills, lathes, and machine shop tools.
  5. Experience with automotive manufacturing and quality standards.
  6. Experience with Linux operating systems.
  7. Ability to travel within the U.S.
