Job summary

Kelly Services in East Providence, RI is seeking a Quality Engineering Technician to support non-conformance, corrective action, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement. This hands-on role collaborates with Quality, Engineering, Production, Purchasing and Customer Quality to investigate issues and keep audit-ready quality records.

You will analyze data, track NCR/CAR metrics, assist with ISO 9001/AS9100 programs, and help with documentation, drawings, and inspections while promoting

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or quality-related education preferred.
  • Experience in quality, manufacturing, engineering, inspection, or document control.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, NC/CAPA, and corrective action processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organization and follow-through.
  • Comfortable working with Excel, quality data, documentation, and quality management systems.
  • Ability to understand technical drawings, specifications, procedures, and inspection records.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with IPC standards, FMEA, aerospace manufacturing, or audits is a plus.
  • ASQ certifications such as CQT, CQI, or CQE are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate corrective actions and support root cause analysis and effectiveness checks.
  • Help investigate supplier and customer quality issues and coordinate follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate quality records, traceability, and controlled documentation.
  • Analyze quality data, track NCR/CAR metrics, and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 requirements, internal audits, and audit preparation.
  • Assist with FMEA, risk assessments, process improvements, and quality investigations.
  • Review procedures, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and inspection records.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality teams to resolve problems and improve processes.
  • Keep quality files organized, accurate, controlled, and audit-ready.

Quality Engineering Technician – East Providence, RI

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:30am-2:30pm

Pay: $28-$35/hr

We’re looking for a Quality Engineering Technician to join our electronics component manufacturing team and help keep quality systems, products, and processes operating at the highest standards.

This is a hands-on quality role focused on non-conformance, corrective action, root-cause analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with Quality, Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and Customer Quality teams to investigate issues, track corrective actions, and keep important quality records accurate and audit-ready.

What You’ll Do
