Cummins Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Engineering Student for a 12-month placement in Daventry.

You will gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing and quality processes, learning how a global organization operates while supporting shop-floor defect analysis and data-driven improvements. The role emphasizes collaboration with multiple teams, data analysis using Power BI and MS packages, and active participation in quality-related reporting and projects.

Qualifications

• Studying for a degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Data analysis skills including the use of Microsoft packages; Power BI experience is beneficial but training is provided.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Responsabilités

• Assisting in defect diagnosis and parts disposition on the shop floor.
• Collating and analyzing machine/assembly data via Power BI, Minitab, etc., and identifying improvement areas.
• Coordinating with teams to report and repair identified defects.
• Collaborating with suppliers on weekly reports, improvements and actions.
• Working cross-functionally gaining exposure to a wide range of business areas and projects.
• Supporting Quality Group presentations.
