Job summary

Sanmina Newark, CA is hiring a Quality Manager to lead a world-class QA department, drive plant-wide continuous improvement, and oversee the Quality Management System. The role focuses on ensuring product quality, supplier quality, and effective corrective actions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in quality engineering, GD&T expertise, and Lean Six Sigma experience, with ISO 9001 and AS9100 familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field; minimum 8 years of quality engineering in manufacturing.
• Experience reading and interpreting GD&T requirements.
• Hands-on experience with PFMEA, control plans, CAPA, RCCA and 8D.
• ISO 9001 experience; AS9100 a plus.
• Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma with DOE and SPC preferred.
• Experience with machining, system integration/assembly; CMMs and laser inspection systems a plus.
• Certified Green or Black belt is a plus; internal audit experience is a plus.
• Oracle ERP and MS Office proficiency; excellent communication skills; able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor QA department, including quality engineers and inspectors.
• Maintain site QMS and coordinate audits; ensure ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100:2016 compliance.
• Oversee quality planning for NPI and production parts (PFMEA, CP, PFMEA).</p>
• Drive supplier quality improvements and cross-functional projects.
• Address customer escapes with cross-functional teams and corrective actions.
