Job summary

Agile Search Inc. partners with a global medical device manufacturer to hire a Quality Engineering Manager in Danbury, CT. You will own a team of quality engineers, define priorities, and drive a robust QMS to meet business goals.

You will lead audits, apply ISO 13485 standards, and solve complex quality problems to enable strategic decisions and cross-functional collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a technical discipline plus 7+ years of related experience.
• Strong quality engineering foundation including structured problem-solving, and the ability to identify and resolve technical and organizational problems.
• A track record of producing high-quality work that measurably impacts the business.
• 2+ years demonstrated leadership, mentoring people to achieve challenging goals.
• Deep QMS expertise applied in complex manufacturing environments; control plans, FMEA, and the tools of the trade.
• Significant ISO 13485 or other highly regulated manufacturing environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of quality engineers; accountable for the outcomes of the team's work, and mentoring talent.
• Set the department's priorities, processes, and procedures in alignment with business objectives.
• Lead internal and external audits and drive QMS compliance.
• Tackle complex quality problems using quality tools, requiring analysis and judgment, selecting methods, evaluating variables, and contributing to improved decision making for the organization.
• Drive cultural change and build cross-functional networks for embedding a positive quality ethos across the organization.
