Sora Resource Group in the Fremont area, CA is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineering Manager for 100% onsite work. The role offers a salary range of $130,000–$150,000 per year and requires a strong EMS quality background with leadership experience.

The ideal candidate will lead a quality engineering team, manage customer quality, and drive measurable improvements in manufacturing quality and customer satisfaction while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100 and IATF 16949

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of quality experience in an EMS environment.
• Minimum 3 years of quality leadership or management experience.
• Hands-on with PCBA and Box Build manufacturing.
• Customer-facing quality management including escalations, audits, and complaint resolution.
• Expertise in root cause analysis, 8D, CAPA and corrective actions.
• Experience supporting SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection and NPI.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, yield improvement, and scrap/rework reduction.
• Ability to lead and develop quality engineering teams.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop the quality engineering team across EMI processes.
• Manage customer quality and escalations, ensuring timely resolution.
• Drive measurable improvements in manufacturing quality and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards and internal procedures.
• Coordinate quality activities across SMT, PCB assembly, testing, and NPI.

Quality Engineering Manager

FREMONT AREA, CA — 100% onsite
Salary Range:$130,000–$150,000
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Requirements:

1. Minimum 8 years of quality experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
2. Minimum 3 years of quality leadership or management experience.
3. Strong hands-on experience with **PCBA and Box Build manufacturing
4. Proven customer-facing quality management experience, including customer escalations, audits, and complaint resolution.
5. Strong expertise in root cause analysis, 8D, CAPA, and corrective action programs
6. Experience supporting SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection, and NPI processes
7. Knowledge of quality systems and compliance, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
8. Experience driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, yield improvement, and reducing scrap/rework
9. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality engineering teams

Preferred:

ASQ CQE/CQM certification, Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, and working knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-7711/7721.
