Jobgether SRL partner company seeks a Quality Engineering Lead in the United States. You will define the quality strategy, set standards, and build feedback loops that help engineering teams detect issues earlier.

The role blends hands-on work with leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional influence. You will collaborate with engineering and product leaders to translate quality trends, defects, and production insights into actionable improvements, with a strong emphasis on exploratory testing,

Qualifications

• 5 years building, shipping, and supporting production software as an engineer, quality engineer, SRE, or related technical role.
• 2 years leading or mentoring engineers as a manager or technical lead.
• Strong knowledge of quality tooling, including CI pipelines, automated testing, observability, and related practices.
• Ability to establish and raise quality standards for a product or codebase even when another team owns the underlying implementation.
• Excellent communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define the quality strategy and standards for the product and measurement of quality.
• Lead and mentor a team of 1–2 Quality Engineers while staying hands-on.
• Introduce quality feedback points across the product lifecycle from design through release.
• Review and challenge test plans early to ensure coverage and quality.
• Lead defect triage and track defects, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
• Perform exploratory testing on new and existing functionality, focusing on boundaries and integrations.
• Support automated testing, CI pipelines, observability, and other quality tooling.
• Occasionally contribute fixes to help resolve issues quickly.
• Own root cause analysis for escaped defects and production incidents, document findings, and share lessons.
• Participate in incident reviews and feed learnings back into development and quality practices.
• Mentor direct reports and support their growth while maintaining high quality standards.
• Communicate quality risks, trends, and recommendations clearly to engineers and product leadership.
