Job summary

TENNECO is seeking a Quality Supervisor to support the Quality Manager and drive continuous improvement across the QMS. You will lead corrective actions, coordinate external audits, and mentor teams in tools like APQP, SPC, MSA/Gage R&R, and DOE.

You will collaborate with design, process engineering, and manufacturing to ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met while enhancing product quality and reducing costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, or related field.
• 4–6 years in automotive quality in manufacturing.
• ASQ CQE/CQA preferred.
• Experience with IATF 16949, PPAP, APQP, FMEA.
• Strong SPC, DOE, and GD&T knowledge.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, depending on facility location.
• Ability to travel 10–15%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate quality-improvement initiatives to reduce scrap and warranty costs while improving product quality.
• Coordinate audits and ensure ongoing ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliance; act as Lead Auditor when applicable.
• Provide guidance on QMS tools (APQP, BOS, SPC, MSA/Gage R&R, DOE) and train teams.
• Manage internal/external audits, and drive corrective/preventive actions with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor KPIs and report monthly plant PPM performance to corporate quality.
