Job summary

Boston Scientific invites you to join its Global Quality Engineering team as a Quality Engineering Intern in Minneapolis. You will help ensure patient safety and quality by applying engineering methodologies and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This onsite internship runs 12 weeks, requires pursuing Mechanical, Biomedical or Industrial Engineering, with graduation windows, start May 17 or 24, 2027, and reliable commute.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Biomedical or Industrial Engineering.
• Graduation date must be between December 2027 - May 2029.
• Must be able to start internship on May 17th or 24th, 2027 and work for 12 weeks.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work.

Responsibilities

• Value Improvement Projects (VIPs) such as yield improvements, process improvements, and materials cost savings.
• Use design for manufacturing principles to develop tooling and equipment for manufacturing lines for new products.
• Create inspections or inspection systems to ensure products meet critical requirements.
• Act as an effective leader or team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices.
• Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.
• Apply technical knowledge to innovate, design, develop, and sustain processes, procedures, tooling and equipment for first in class medical devices.
• Assist in the development and execution of streamlined business systems which effectively identify and resolve quality issues.
• Collaborate and gain experience from a diverse cross-functional team.
• Gain better understanding by applying academic knowledge to a real-world problem set.
• Improve patient lives around the world every day.
