Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Quality Engineering Intern to join the METEM team in Allentown, PA. You will explore EDM/FHD and ECM technologies, drilling into super alloys to support turbine components, and gain hands-on experience in non-traditional machining and electrochemistry.

You will help drive safety, quality, and cost improvements, participate in Built-in-Quality initiatives, and support MRB processes. Enrolled in an undergrad or graduate program in IE, CHE, EE, MSE, or ChE is required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in the listed disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety, quality, delivery and cost across your assigned product portfolio.
• Manage out-of-flow inventory (MRB, NC, braze repairs, re-coat).
• Drive Built-in-Quality implementation and sustainability for your portfolio.
• Reduce defects, scrap and rework through daily management and problem solving.
• Collaborate with Design Liaison Engineers to manage Material Review Board processes.
• Drive continuous improvement projects in Manufacturing & Quality.
• Conduct training for quality processes as needed.
• Maintain Quality Management System procedures and perform audits.
