IAC Group in Arlington, Texas seeks a Quality Engineer to uphold supplier quality and drive continuous improvement. You will train operators, participate in PPAP submissions, and coordinate dimensional evaluations while aligning with Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree with related experience in quality manufacturing, automotive preferred.
  • 3–7 years of related experience in quality manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Display fair, consistent approach by following Value and Mission Statements.
  • Support policies and business objectives; perform duties accordingly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and lean programs.
  • Support company to meet customer quality and IAC standards.
  • Complete LPAs and Safe Audit weekly as required.
  • Perform duties assigned by supervisor; strong teamwork and safety awareness.
  • Lead and participate in audits within Quality Systems (TS/ISO).
  • Troubleshoot quality issues with Operations and Technical departments.
  • Support mentoring of junior Quality Engineers and daily QA functions.

Position Title: Quality Engineer
Department: Quality
Reports To: Quality Manager

This position does not offer visa sponsorship.

This position reports directly to the Quality Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of IAC as described below:

General Job Duties:

  • To participate in continuous improvement activities that enhance the working environment at IAC.
  • Participate and support all lean, continuous improvement programs, initiatives and activities.
  • To support the company vision and help to ensure fair treatment of all employees employed by IAC
  • Exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in company activities in a positive working environment.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.
  • Follow Company policies and display conduct expected of IAC employees
  • Adhere to all safety and health objectives, policies and procedures of IAC to provide for a safe and healthful workplace. Work in a safe manner at all times and report any unsafe conditions in order that the situation can be corrected.
  • Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.
  • Maintain proper ergonomics at all times when performing assigned tasks.
  • To support the company to meet and maintain all customer quality standards as well as the standards of IAC.
  • Complete LPAs on time; weekly
  • Complete Safe Audit on time; weekly
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Specific Job Duties:

  • Supplier quality
  • Training of operators in standardized processes
  • Prepare sample submissions (PPAP)
  • Coordinate dimensional evaluations
  • Complete capability study
  • Maintain and coordinate Fast Response process
  • Audit/document quality systems
  • Problem solve assembly issues
  • Work closely with manufacturing team members as well as interact directly with
  • suppliers and customers
  • Enforce and maintain LPA process
  • Troubleshoot quality issues with the Operations and Technical department
  • Root cause analysis through fast track response process
  • Assist in the development and mentoring of the Quality Engineers
  • Support Quality Manager in daily functions as needed
  • Internal Lead TS Auditor
  • Internal ISO Auditor

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor degree with 3-5 years of related experience or 5-7 years related experience in a

quality manufacturing environment, automotive preferred.

Experience Requirements

  • Good computer including typing and the use of Microsoft products
  • Conceptual knowledge of production part approval process (PPAP) and relevant
  • requirements preferred
  • Working knowledge of SPC, capability studies, PFMEA’s, and Control Plans
  • Ability to pay attention to detail, multi-task and follow direction
  • Successful candidates will also possess strong judgment /decision making skills,
  • problem solving and communication skills.
  • Strong analytic problem solving skills
  • Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight
  • deadlines
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision
