Macurco, Inc. a DwyerOmega Brand, is seeking a Quality Engineer to develop, approve, and maintain inspection and test methods for manufacturing. You will lead QMS audits, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality objectives.

The role emphasizes reading specifications, implementing QA protocols, and training staff in SPC and measurement tools within a mixed office/manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related industry with work experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, specifications, and requirements.
• Demonstrated capability to develop clear work instructions and quality documentation that meet specification and process requirements.
• Experience training others and operating standard inspection tools and basic testing equipment.
• Working knowledge of measurement and inspection instruments, including calipers, height gauges, radius gauges, dial indicators, and blueprints, as well as familiarity with ISO-based quality systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook; experience with ERP systems such as Business Central preferred.
• Understanding of bills of materials (BOMs), production planning concepts, and manufacturing workflows.
• Strong organizational and process-oriented mindset with the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize work in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and break down specifications to ensure quality requirements are met on an as-needed basis.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to support quality objectives and operational success.
• Develop, modify, implement, and maintain QC/QA protocols for material conversion and product quality.
• Conduct internal QMS audits and coordinate with registrars and customers for compliance.
• Approve methods for collecting and maintaining SPC data and train staff.
• Maintain compliance with material control and record retention in the QMS.
