Job summary

Plastipak is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Lima, OH site to ensure the production of high quality rigid plastic containers. You will lead initiatives to verify requirements are met and drive continuous improvement across the facility.

In this role you will analyze SPC data, validate process conformance, and educate Associates while maintaining strong customer relationships through health check meetings and proactive communication.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (full-time, internship, or co-op).
• Strong understanding of SPC and ability to interpret control charts (histograms, Pareto, X-Bar/R).

Responsibilities

• Analyze SPC data to understand variation and initiate corrective actions.
• Utilize statistical tools to measure conformance and validate process adherence.
• Visit customer facilities for health checks and maintain relationships.
• Develop and deliver quality-control training for associates.
• Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives.
