Job summary
Federal Ammunition is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide proactive quality engineering expertise and leadership for the FCC Shotshell product line, reporting to the Quality Director in Anoka, MN.
The role requires a BSIE/BSME and 1–3 years of experience in a high-volume consumer manufacturing environment, with knowledge of SPC, DOE, and TQM. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, PTO and tuition reimbursement.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of progressive Quality Engineering experience in a high volume consumer manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of SPC, DOE, and TQM practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem solving and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Manufacturing process quality improvement and leadership to plant team.
- Lead Six Sigma and product line improvement projects within budget and schedule.
- Improve Quality System including ISO 9000 implementation and auditor support.
- Contribute to design for quality, producibility, and inspectability in new products.
- Support supplier quality and ensure material meets requirements and supplier programs.
- Assist Manufacturing Engineering on capital projects from idea to post-installation.
- Develop and analyze quality data and provide user-friendly summaries.
