Job summary

HEXPOL Compounding Americas is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead the design and manufacturing quality improvements for rubber compounds. You will review lab testing, drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams, and maintain our ISO 9001:2015 framework to meet internal and customer specifications.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, data-driven decisions, and mentoring the quality team to sustain high standards and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; significant experience may offset.
• CQE or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
• 7 years of manufacturing experience in Quality/Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5 years in rubber manufacturing or custom compounding environment preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to supervise and develop associates.

Responsibilities

• Establish, sustain, and improve methods for quality control of rubber compounds.
• Review and approve daily lab testing to meet specs.
• Develop corrective actions with cross-functional teams to eliminate root causes of nonconformities.
• Maintain ISO 9001:2015 quality system and focus on quality objectives.
• Lead audits and ensure compliance with ISO9001 and customer requirements.
• Support lab activities and training of personnel.
