SQA Services in Everett, WA is seeking a senior quality engineer with aerospace supplier quality experience to assess root-cause analyses, drive corrective actions, and manage RCCA processes. Assess client root-cause analyses and containment strategies for adequacy and rigor; disposition each as adequate, needs strengthening, or requires re-analysis.
Prioritize the corrective-action portfolio by customer impact, Boeing due date, and recurrence/severity risk;maintaina prioritized RCCA register that drives the working cadence.
Lead failure-mechanism analysis using SQA’s proprietary RCCAmethodologyand toolset; confirm root and contributing causes,identifycontrols over high-risk mechanisms, and assess the measurement system.
Develop sustainable corrective action planswith clear controls todetermineeffectivenessof the solution.
Responsible for clear communication toclient and SQA leadership including upkeep ofdashboard, due-date tracking, risk and blocker escalation, and weekly and monthly reporting.
Prepare and support customer corrective-action response packages (e.g., 8D viaSQIS) and manage customer rejections and resubmittalsthroughapproval.
Capture analyses in the SQA RCCA toolset and export deliverables in the formats the client and customerrequire(Boeing 8D, STEPQ, Word, Excel, PDF).
Partner with client Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, and Document Control to advance actions while respecting client ownership of implementation, disposition, and customer status outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline, or equivalentquality-engineeringexperience.
Minimum 5 years in quality engineering or supplier quality within aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated hands-on root-cause and corrective-action experience using structured methods (8D, 5-Why, fishbone/Ishikawa).
Working knowledge of AS9100 and experience authoring and closing formal corrective actions to a major OEM customer.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent corrective actions to schedule.
Strong technical writing; able to produce audit-ready and customer-ready analyses and responses.
Able to work onsite at the client facility in Everett, WA, with travel to client site(s) asrequired.
$75 - $85 an hour
