Job summary

Teledyne FLIR is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations, lead root cause investigations, and drive continuous quality improvements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing or related technical discipline is required.
• Experience with PFMEA, control plans, SPC and Cp/Cpk studies is preferred.
• Strong root cause analysis, CAPA leadership, and risk assessment skills are essential.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Quality Engineering resource supporting manufacturing operations and production teams.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for nonconformances and customer complaints.
• Improve processes, work instructions, inspection methods, and control plans.
• Utilize Lean and Six Sigma to reduce defects, scrap, and process variation.
• Support MRB activities and CAPA effectiveness verification.
• Analyze quality data and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in internal/external audits and reinforce ISO-compliant QMS.
