Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Process/Quality Engineer to provide support to manufacturing and product development teams, ensuring the delivery of the highest quality products to customers. You will work on process quality plans, reviews, and the development of robust quality systems.

Role involves learning and applying quality tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to risk assessments and improvement initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline. Minimum of 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming material, customer complaints) and disposition nonconforming material.
• Work with process owners to bound product stops and document release criteria.
• Review product specifications and quality specs to understand the quality system requirements.
• Learn risk analyses and FMEAs.
• Familiarize with Process Monitoring Systems and methods to reduce process variation.
• Support product/process improvement efforts by analyzing quality metrics.
