Job summary

Quintall in the United States (Ohio) seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure product and process quality across value streams. You will define quality activities, monitor KPIs, and establish standards in collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.

The role requires hands-on problem solving with 8D, 5 Why, and DFMEA, plus ISO 9001 experience and SAP familiarity. You will coach staff and drive continuous improvement to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or quality-related education.
• Five+ years of professional experience, preferably in a related environment.
• Knowledge of problem-solving methodologies: 8D, 5 Why, A3, Ishikawa.
• Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher.
• ISO 9001 knowledge; IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 preferred.
• Experience with Control Plans, Inspection Plans, PDCA, SPC, FMEA.
• Project management knowledge and basic business understanding.
• Fluent in English and local language; SAP and MS Office proficiency.
• Internal auditor knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define activities, processes, and standards to meet quality requirements.
• Monitor quality KPIs for the unit and value streams.
• Establish and develop quality guidelines for products and processes.
• Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes against standards.
• Report and troubleshoot deviations and product defects.
• Maintain quality responsibility across multiple value streams.
• Improve quality standards within the operational unit.
• Lead daily operations in non-routine situations when needed.
• Coach and review work of team members; train staff on quality measures.
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure their products meet standards.
