Job summary

Nelson Global Products Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to support plant and customer quality performance, lead 8D problem solving, and drive systemic corrective actions.

You will collaborate with operations, engineering, and suppliers to ensure robust process control and continuous improvement. The role covers change control, NPI support, PPAP submissions, and IATF16949 compliance, with a focus on preventing defects and reducing COPQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing quality experience.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, 8D, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Experience supporting IATF 16949 requirements and audits.

Responsibilities

• Support plant and customer quality performance (PPM, KPIs) through daily quality activities.
• Lead investigation of internal and external quality issues and drive timely, systemic corrective actions (8D/A3).
• Lead customer corrective actions with root cause analysis, ensuring effective implementation and sustainability.
• Manage change control by reviewing, validating, and approving process and product changes.
• Support NPI and product transfers by developing and implementing quality control plans with manufacturing engineering.
• Support COPQ reduction through data analysis and improvement initiatives.
• Establish and maintain process controls, PFMEA, and work instructions.
• Support PPAP submissions, first articles, and ongoing approvals.
• Collaborate with customers to address issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Support IATF requirements, audits, and documentation.
