Job summary

Orizon Chanute Facility seeks a qualified engineer to lead quality assurance efforts in a manufacturing setting. The role involves ensuring documentation aligns with current standards, leading corrective actions, and supporting training to improve quality awareness.

You will collaborate across teams, inspect components, support FAI/RMA/MRR processes, and troubleshoot production issues while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Excellent verbal, written and listening skills with ability to provide instruction clearly.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
• Experience with Engineering Drawings, BOMs and routers in manufacturing.
• Pass basic Excel skills assessment; proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Catia V5 or later.
• Experience with inspection tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers, depth gauges).
• Familiar with AS9100, FMEA, Control Plans.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in Corrective Action Reporting and investigations.
• Assist in establishing training programs to improve quality awareness.
• Ensure documents reflect current standards and represent processes accurately.
• Verify customer needs can be produced within process capabilities.
• Assist in inspection, First Article Inspection, RMA, and MRR processes.
• Troubleshoot production processes and recommend improvements.
• Interact with customers to troubleshoot product issues and resolve complaints.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and comply with procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.
