Job summary

The Visual Group in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality planning, PFMEA development, and Control Plan maintenance in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes risk-based thinking, process capability improvement, and collaboration with Engineering, Production, and Quality Control to prevent defects and ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering required.
• 3–7+ years in a manufacturing quality role.
• Proven PFMEA development and facilitation experience.
• Proven experience creating, implementing, and maintaining Control Plans.
• Strong root-cause analysis and corrective actions history (8D/5 Whys/Ishikawa).
• Hands-on NCR, CAR, and CAPA systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead PFMEA development and maintenance for key processes.
• Create, implement, and maintain Control Plans aligned with PFMEA risks.
• Identify CTQ characteristics and implement controls and inspection plans.
• Support APQP and PPAP activities per customer requirements.
• Drive risk-based thinking in quality planning and execution.
• Lead nonconformance investigations and CAPA activities.
• Track quality data trends and drive continuous improvement.
