Job summary

foxconnggroup seeks a Quality Engineer for PCBA Manufacturing to ensure product quality across NPI and Mass Production. You will develop quality plans, lead corrective actions, and collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers and Program Managers on quality issues.

Your role includes maintaining data integrity, implementing process controls, and participating in ISO and internal audits with a focus on problem-solving methods and proactive improvement in a fast-paced electronics environment.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or MBA in Engineering or electronic-related field.
• Knowledge of SMT and PC Board Assembly; PCBA experience preferred.
• 2+ years in PCBA or Manufacturing Quality Control or Manufacturing Production.
• English proficiency required; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Technical knowledge of product operation for the assigned area.
• Troubleshooting to determine if issue is process, vendor, or design related.
• Ensure production process compliance with customer requirements.
• Know essential quality tools (8D, Fishbone, etc.).
• Operate measurement tools and calibrate as needed.
• Create and maintain quality documentation and inspection plans.
• Perform tests and measurements using existing equipment.
• Join Quality Committee for ISO Internal and 5S audits.
• Provide liaison to regulatory bodies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to drive process improvements.

Job description - Quality Engineer (PCBA Manufacturing)

EDUCATION:

B.S. or M.B.A in Engineering or Electronic related field.

Knowledge of SMT, PC Board Assembly. PCBA experience is preferable.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2+ year experience in PCBA or Manufacturing Quality Control or Manufacturing Production.

LANGUAGE:

English proficiency in speaking & writing required. Mandarin is a plus.

SKILLS:

• Experience developing process quality control plans and driving corrective actions and failure analysis efforts. (Provide on-the job training)
• Working knowledge of mechanical quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations.
• Develops and initiates methods for inspection, testing and evaluation on PCBA assembly. (Provide on-the job training)
• Supports Manufacturing Engineers and Program Managers with customer interfaces as necessary on quality related issues.
• Assures data availability and integrity for all quality.
• Creates and analyses NPI and Mass Production reports. (Provide on-the job training)
• Analyses returned products and recommended correction action.
• Decision making ability coupled with the ability to work independently and proactively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides liaison to various regulatory bodies.
• Participating in teams to help make necessary improvements and changes to all process related issues in the Production department.
