Job summary

foxconn group in San Jose, CA is seeking an SMT Process Engineer to develop and implement advanced SMT processes on the production line. You will oversee machine operators and technicians, monitor quality, and drive improvements in yield and cycle time.

Ideal candidates have a BS in engineering, 2+ years in electronics manufacturing, and strong analytical skills. English is required; Mandarin or Vietnamese is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

FULL-TIME/PERMANENT

JOB FUNCTION:

A Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Process Engineer generally assists in the production line of surface mount technologies, which involve attaching electronic materials to printed circuit boards. Finished products will be inspected by an engineer to assess their quality. The SMT Engineer will provide feedback or will sometimes make the fixes. It is also important to inspect various machines, tools, and materials involved in the process to make sure that they are working properly. It is also important to monitor the work of individuals to make sure that the work being done is of quality.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: B.S. in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field, M.S./M.B.A in Engineering or related is a plus.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience. Experience in the electronic manufacturing is a plus.

LANGUAGE: English proficiency required, Mandarin or Vietnamese is a plus.
