Job summary

ATI Specialty Alloys & Components is seeking a Quality Engineer for our Millersburg, Oregon site. This on-site, day-shift role (6 AM–2 PM) is ideal for a recent engineering graduate with internship experience in manufacturing, sampling, or quality inspection.

You will review quality documentation for product release, collaborating with Operations, Engineering, Inspection and Planning to ensure quality requirements align with production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data.
• Effective communication and collaboration in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work on-site in a heavy-industrial setting and comply with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate laboratory results for conformance to specifications and manage nonconformances.
• Implement risk mitigation actions to improve Right First Time (RFT) for production activities.
• Review process records and issue/assess nonconformances and prepare release documents.
• Analyze customer/contract requirements and ensure alignment with quality documentation.
• Review raw materials certifications and material specifications for release to production.
• Perform inventory reviews, material transactions, and batch completion checks.
• Oversee sampling to ensure correct techniques and sample integrity.
• Support continuous improvement of sampling procedures and quality workflows.
• Collect and analyze process data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Contribute to improvement projects focused on yield, quality, and documentation.
