Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall, MI is seeking a Quality Engineer to resolve manufacturing and shipment issues and drive root cause analysis. You will lead quality initiatives and support continuous improvement efforts at our Ti Cast Facility, communicating effectively with customers and internal teams.

The role requires a strong quality mindset, teamwork, and experience with AS9100/NADCAP guidelines to ensure product and process excellence for our aerospace customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.
• 3 years’ Quality and/or Engineering experience with strong dimensional/analytical skills.
• AS9100 and NADCAP knowledge and quality systems familiarity.
• Proficiency with Root Cause and Corrective Action (8D) methodologies.
• Experience with APQP and PPAP; ASQ/CQA/CQE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve manufacturing and shipment issues related to customer specifications.
• Drive root cause and corrective action on assigned components.
• Support quality manuals and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead quality initiatives and communicate quality concerns between shop floor and engineering.
