Job summary

Jabil's Florence, KY site is seeking an onsite Quality Engineer to oversee the Quality function from New Product Introduction through manufacturing and field performance. You will prevent risks, lead corrective actions, and ensure compliance with customer procedures and prints.

You will develop and maintain quality visuals, PFMEAs, control plans, and CAPA programs, partner with Engineering, conduct internal audits, review defects, and mentor technicians while driving continuous improvement using

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated Quality Engineer experience in related industry or field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Quality Visual aids for inline, final, and OBA inspection.
• Improve NPI efficiency and quality through Design for Manufacturability tools.
• Partner with Engineering to develop and update PFMEAs and Control Plans.
• Lead efforts to improve process and test yields with ME and TE.
• Conduct LPA2 and ISO Internal Audits.
• Review and verify all customer related defects.
• Lead internal team through quality tools to get to root causes of issues.
• Meet or exceed metric goals related to process yields, FNI & OBA performance.
• Ensure metrics for CAPAs and Jira are met.
• Ensure compliance to customer procedures and prints.
• Complete FAI or customer NPI documentation as required.
• Review and approve ECNs, PCNs, Deviations, and Quality Alerts.
• Provide trend analysis of defects both internal and customer.
• Interface and provide technical support on quality issues with the customer.
• Train team members on quality-related topics/procedures (Calibration, ESD, CAPA, etc.).
• Mentor and improve skills of Quality Technicians.
• Adhere to safety, health, and security policies and procedures.
• Conduct continuous improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma methodologies
